Our last few weeks in school were filled with Christmas cheer. Children in fourth did some beautiful art, made gingerbread houses, took part in a Christmas Creative Competition, poetry writing, project work based on Christmas traditions around the world, made candle...
Gingerbread houses were a real hit with all the boys and girls in Rang 4! They came up with great creations. There is so much learning involved in cookery lessons: literacy maths, art, science, problem solving, team work etc.
After enjoying hearing so many stories about the Fair of Borris, today was the day that the children re-enacted scenes from the day of the Fair. The boys and girls came up with brilliant dramas and some children even made the effort of dressing up! Maith sibh!
The children in fourth class produced a feast fitfor a king when they made a delicious chicken curry and rice recently. It was most welcome by all on a bitter, cold, winter’s day. The boys and girls are becoming accomplished cooks very quickly!!
A huge thanks to Jim who took the time to speak to all the children in Rang 4 about the work of an engineer as part of the STEPS Young Engineers Award. The children were really impressed with the very factual and interesting account that Jim gave of his work.
The week before mid-term was filled with lots of spook-tacular activities for rang 4.
Fourth class got to make and decorate some muffins for Halloween. They did a soook- tacular job!!!! 🎃
