School News

We will be holding our Open Night on 8th February at 7pm.  All are welcome.

5th class commenced knitting yesterday.  Members of Borrisoleigh Knitting Group have come into the school to assist the teachers teaching the children.  It is lovely to forge this link with community.  The class are currently knitting wristbands.

This week Avril had her 2nd week of teaching music in the school.  She will spend the initial six weeks teaching in the Junior School and then will spend another six weeks in the Senior school.  The children are really enjoying it so much.

A big Thank You to all who contributed recently to our Mary's Meals Fundraiser. €1784 was raised.   Many children brought in brown money coin donations and also supported our Christmas Café.

When we resume in the new year all children will be taking part in gymnastics with Jill.  Last year it was one of the children's favourite activities.  Jill will come to the school every Wednesday for 6 weeks.

On Monday 18th December the annual Christmas Carol Service was held in the Church.  Our 1st class performed the nativity under the guidance of Ms O Sullivan and Mrs Slattery.  3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class performed Silent Night and The Christmas Hallelujah.  It was...

All the children visited the Le Chéile class room last week where they were treated to hot chocolate, sweets and marshmallows dipped in chocolate.  The children had the option of making a donation towards Marys Meals.  It was great to see the children enjoying...
