The ‘Innocent Big Knit’ has been back in full swing in third and fourth class for the last few months. The children have managed to knit over 200 little hats with the help of Mrs. Slattery and Mrs. Kiely. All money raised from the hats goes to Age Action which goes directly to funding the Care & Repair service. This service supports volunteers carrying out free DIY jobs for older people and helping them stay safe and warm in their homes during our cold Irish winters.Every winter, as many as 2,000 older people in Ireland die needlessly because of complications due to the cold. Congratulations to third and fourth class, Mrs. Slattery and Mrs. Kiely!
