Last week, our Fifth and Sixth Class pupils walked to Ballroan Bridge to carry out water quality testing as part of their science work. This was a wonderful opportunity to put their learning into practice in the local environment. Using their testing kits, the pupils tested the quality of the water in the river and were pleasantly surprised by the results. The tests indicated that the water quality was very good, which is fantastic news for the local ecosystem.
It was a very enjoyable and educational afternoon, and a great example of outdoor learning on our doorstep. Well done to all the children for their enthusiasm and for representing the school so well in the community.
