Congratulations to Razuk, Lisa, Tara and Conor who represented our school in the All-Ireland Credit Union Quiz in the RDS on Sunday, 2nd April 2017. The children came in a very respectable fifth place. This was an amazing achievement as this section of the quiz started off with 12,500 children. Well done to the boys and girls!
The final of the school hurling league was played off on the day before the Easter holidays. It was such an enjoyable experience for all the children involved. A huge thanks to Mr. Small for organising the league. All children were presented with medals on the day of the holidays.
The week of the Easter holidays was so much fun in Scoil Naomh Cualan. Children enjoyed cookery lessons baking cookies, mars delight and making chicken curry and pizzas.Other children enjoyed Easter trails. The fun and excitement searching for eggs/ cards was fantastic. There was a treat for all children at the end of the trail.
Congratulations to our U-13 girls camogie team who put on a fantastic display in Templemore before the Easter break qualifying for the county-semi final. The girls beat three excellent teams: St. Joseph’s Templemore. Gaelscoil Durlas Éile and Presentation, Thurles. Well done on such an amazing achievement!
A huge thanks to Mrs. Kiely, Mrs. Slattery and third class who kindly helped fourth class to learn how to knit before the Easter break. The children really enjoyed the peer tutoring experience.
Thanks also to the two firemen from Templemore Fire Station who called to the school to talk to third and fourth class about fire safety, It was an extremely important and interesting talk.
