1. Complimentary Christmas Annuals:
Thanks to the efforts of all who assisted with our various fundraising activities so far this year. As a result we are happy to be able to give all pupils a free Christmas Annual again this year. These annuals are a great source of learning and enjoyment as we prepare for the festive season and we thank all who have helped to provide them for the children.
2. Christmas Concert
The boys and girls of Junior Infants, Senior Infants, 5th class and 6th class are busy preparing for their Christmas concerts which will take place on 11th and 12th December. Tickets are selling fast so if you wish to purchase tickets we would advise you to purchase tickets without delay. All tickets that have been booked must be paid for by tomorrow as tickets cannot be held after that.
We thank you for all your assistance with preparations for the show. We are delighted to report that the show will be professionally recorded and will be available to order, should you wish to do so. A flyer will go out by the end of the week detailing same. These recordings are always eagerly anticipated and provide a very precious reminder of a very special event in your child’s life for years to come.
All participants in the show must be in the Marian Hall at 6.45 sharp on both nights.
Parents of Junior Infants, Senior Infants who are not attending the concert may pick up their child at 7.45pm at the end of the hall.
3. Le Chéile Café
Last year one of the highlights of the year was the Le Chéile Café. Le Chéile will be turned in to a festive winter wonderland for the day. This year Le Chéile Café will take place on 17th December. The children can visit the Café on the day for hot chocolate, cookies, sweets etc. We would recommend that your child brings €2 to school on the day if they wish to visit the Café.
4. Carol Service
First, Second, Third and Fourth class are practicing for the carol service which will take place in the Sacred Heart Church on 19th December at 7pm. Last year this was a wonderful festive occasion and we would encourage as many people as possible to attend. All children participating must be in the church for 6.45 sharp.
5. Santa’s Fairy Tale Christmas
On 19th December Junior Infants, Senior Infants and Le Chéile will be going to see the above show in Kilkenny. Cost is €20 and payment must be received by Friday 6th December if not already paid.
