Hi all, just a quick message. I hope you are all keeping well during these uncertain times?
I want to wish you all a very happy and peaceful Easter on behalf of myself and the staff. We miss you all and can’t wait to see everyone back in school very soon.
We want everyone to enjoy the Easter break and not to worry about school work. Enjoy the family time together and get out and enjoy the longer evenings and the better weather. Your teachers will be in contact again after the break and make sure to get your parents to email the teacher addresses on our school website.
Our teachers from Junior Infants up to sixth class are setting up Seesaw, a distance learning platform and we are going to introduce it slowly after the Easter holidays. Parent’s will receive an email with login details, to give parental permission etc. It is new to us all so don’t worry and we will all learn how to use it together. Again, I must stress, this is not to add any pressure to you and your family and only engage as much as is feasible for you.
We’d also love to see pictures and videos of your learning at home (nature walks, art, hurling and camogie skills etc. ) posted on our Twitter handle, you could also email them to your teacher. Each week we will be posting links to websites and ideas for home activities on our school website and Twitter account so make sure to keep an eye on them!
Please stay in touch and we will be back together before we know it. Look after each other and help out with the grown-ups at home with odd jobs around the house. We miss you all, but we’ll see you soon please God. Happy Easter and God bless.
