Energy is the second theme that schools undertake as part of the Green Schools’ Programme. This theme looks at the steps which can be taken to reduce energy consumption and raise awareness of climate change issues. Ciara from ‘An Taisce’ recently came to the school and presented a very informative lesson on fossil fuels, energy consumption, energy efficiency and global warming. Ciara’s messsage was that we can all help to save energy- even by taking small steps in our day to day lives.
