Fifth class have been learning all about the Great Famine over the last month. They heard the very sad local history story about the raid made by the starving locals on a field of turnips. As an art project, the children started making a famine cottage from clay. They will put a straw roof on the cottages over the coming days. We’re all looking forward to seeing the finished projects after weeks of planning!
