Miss Cahill took the children in fourth class back to the ‘olden days’ when butter was made by hand. They tasted their homemade butter on some crackers and were delighted with how the butter tasted.
Well done to our two teams who competed in the North Final of the GAA quiz in Borrisokane on Sunday night 12th of November. Both will progress to the County Final in Thurles to be held on Sunday 26th November. Best of luck to everyone.
Children from third to sixth class thoroughly enjoyed the ‘Ugly Animal Roadshow’ in Thurles on Thursday, 16th November for Science Week.
Huge congratulations to our U13 Football team who had a fantastic victory on the 13th of October in the North Final. It was a hard fought match with the teams level at full time. Borrisoleigh drew ahead in extra time to a well deserved victory.
Hard luck to our fantastic U11 football team that were narrowly defeated in the Football County Final in the Ragg on Wednesday, 15th November. The team showed fantastic courage and determination in their game, giving an amazing performance in the second half. Unfortunately, the luck was not with the boys on the day but we’ve no doubt that they will be back again next year chasing their dreams of a county medal!
