The whole of Scoil Naomh Cualán was awash with green on Friday 15th March as the children dressed up for the annual St. Patrick’s Day/Seachtain na Gaeilge celebration.
The poor staff thought that the entire school was sick, such was the “greenery” of the children’s faces as they made their way across the school yard, but alas it was just the face paint and the shamrocks. A morning of mammies and daddies up to their eyes in green dye and paint!(Thank you, parents!) The teachers of the school prepared the children for the celebration of their patron saint’s day. They learned all about St. Patrick and also created wonderful art work. Third to sixth class also took part in ‘Trath na gCeist’, a fun quiz through Irish. There were prizes for the three highest scoring teams. Well done to all involved!
