If you happened to be passing Scoil Naomh Cualán this week, you might have seen some spooky carry on. Our pupils were replaced with vampires, witches, superheroes and zombies! In junior infants, our theme of the week was based on the traditional fairy tale Hansel and Gretel. We set up a Witches’ Kitchen and made lots of potions and spells. We build cauldrons and traps to catch both children and witches. We discussed the ingredients that a Witch or Wizard might collect and use, as well as deciding if we were going to use our magic for good or bad! I certainly wouldn’t like to be getting on any of their bad side, as they had some very creative ways of turning teachers in to frogs!! Lots of talk and discussion was finished up with out Halloween Parade and disco on Friday. A great day enjoyed by all.
